What is the roads condition in Costa Rica?
It depends. If you visit Jacó, Manuel Antonio or El Coco in Guanacaste, which are some of the most popular beach destinations, you won’t have any problem.
The roads are in good condition, mostly paved. However, one of the attractions of Costa Rica is to reach the most unspoiled and unique places. GOPlaya has a database of over 200 beaches in Costa Rica. On each beach you will find the Google Maps address to get directly to the best spot. You will also be able to know the road conditions you will find. We suggest you reserve a 4×4 so you can enjoy the most incredible places.
For example, if you look on our website for a beach called “Calzón de Pobre”, you will find that we recommend you to visit it in a 4×4, as the road is in very bad conditions. You can have 100% certainty, we know the beaches of Costa Rica very well and we want you to know them and live an authentic experience in our country.
I’m a little afraid of getting lost in Costa Rica. So how can I have a more peaceful trip?
We have the address in Waze and Google Maps to get you to the best spots on 200 beaches in Costa Rica. Just with a click, you can get right to the beach without getting lost or suffering from distress. It is always better to carry a GPS, mainly because of problems with the cell phone signal, but in GOPlaya you can find most destinations without any complications.
Does Adobe Rent a Car have any hidden surcharges?
No, the amount you see in the reserve section is the amount you pay. Remember that GOPlaya created this alliance with the purpose of giving a differentiated treatment to our community. This is the essence of the service provided.
Does Adobe offer airport shuttle service?
Of course. It offers the service and is free of charge. This service is offered at Juan Santamaria International Airport and Liberia International Airport, just look for the Adobe agent outside the airport. When they take you to the office, all you have to do is fill out the paperwork and pick up the car. How easy is it?
Can you deliver the rented vehicle to the airport?
Yes, Adobe has offices located near the Juan Santamaría International Airport in Alajuela and Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste. Adobe offers transportation to and from major airports to make it easy to pick up and return your car. When making your vehicle reservation, please include the following information in the comments: airline, flight number and estimated time of arrival. With that information, Adobe will send a representative to pick you up from either the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia or the Juan Santamaría in Alajuela.
Can I have my vehicle delivered to the hotel where I will be staying?
Yes, Adobe offers you the service of delivering your rental car to your hotel 12 miles from our office, at no additional cost. When filling out the paperwork, please provide the name and address of the hotel you will be staying at, and Adobe will arrange for delivery of your car.
What happens if my vehicle is mechanically damaged and I get stuck?
Adobe Rent a Car offers you 24/7 support for three major needs: locksmithing, battery recharging, and travel continuity. We will arrange the necessary transportation for you to continue your journey in the event of mechanical damage to your vehicle. No matter how far away you are, a person will be sent there to solve the problem. This person will assist you in just 30 minutes if you have stranded near any of Adobe’s offices; in one hour if you are 50 km from the nearest office and in 2 hours if you are 100 km away.
How can I confirm that I made my reservation?
It’s very simple. You will receive an email from Adobe Rent a Car with your booking confirmation. If after 24 hours you have not received this email, you can write to us at [email protected] and GOPlaya will make sure that the email reaches you as soon as possible.
Do I have to give out my credit card numbers?
Don’t worry about it. Adobe Rent a Car will call you on your phone a few days after you make your reservation to ask for your credit card details. They need this information to confirm your reservation, however, your credit card will not be charged until you sign the paperwork and pick up your vehicle. If you prefer, you can call 1-855-861-1250 to give your details. Or you can also send the information to [email protected]. Just keep in mind that you must do this during office hours.
In case I want to change the date of my reservation, can I do it?
Of course, of course! Once you receive the confirmation email, you will be able to modify your reservation. You can rest assured that your credit card money will not be charged until you sign the papers and pick up your vehicle.
I have a credit card, but I don’t have a license. Can I rent?
Due to national regulations, it is not possible. Must have a valid license with at least 2 years of issuance.
I don’t understand how insurance works?
When you rent a car, you have two things to worry about: the damage you may cause to a third party and the damage your vehicle may suffer. Adobe has a mandatory insurance called “PLI”, which covers $20,000 in third-party property damage. For example, if you park your car and hit the car behind you, this insurance will cover up to $20,000 of the damage you cause to that car. In addition, it will cover up to $100,000 in the event of injury or death of a third party.
And why is this important?
It’s important because it’s very covered. In other words, you take away a concern that you have how to pay for possible damages to third parties in the event of an accident. In short, you save yourself a headache. Remember to report the accident immediately after the event.
What happens in the event of a collision?
Adobe provides you with LDW insurance. This insurance offers you a deductible of only $1,000. For example, if you hit another vehicle and your car is wrecked, you are only responsible for the first $1,000. If the arrangement is much more expensive, the insurance will cover the rest of the arrangement. This insurance also covers tipping and theft. That is, if your vehicle is stolen for any reason, you will only have to pay a $1,000 deductible.
Do you want to travel even more relaxed?
Adobe gives you the option to choose the SPP (Suplemental Protection Plan) insurance. With this insurance you will not have to pay any deductible for damages to third parties or in the case of a coalition. Or to put it another way: It relieves you of the financial responsibility of the deductible for third party protection and the protection of your car.
